We transport powerboats and sailboats up to 50' as
well as wooden boats. All of our equipment is designed
to adequately and safely support your boat and its
accompanying structures such as a fly bridge or mast.
When shipping
a boat from marina to marina, please choose a
marina or boatyard with at least 14' overhead clearance,
with no low tree branches or wires on its approach.
Legal height is 13'6" high. That means when the
boat is on our trailer that is what the overall height
is. Usually if the boat height is 12' we are within
the legal height limitations. Don't worry if you measure
your boat and it is over 12' high. Usually something
can be taken off (like a fly bridge or bow pulpit)
or we can stick the keel into the trailer, which will
also lower the overall height of the load.
Boats that are over 8'6 wide are considered an "oversize
load" and will require permits to be trucked
in every state. These permits will be obtained by
us and are included as part of the hauling charges.
Boats that are over 12' wide may require an "certified
escort". This too is a extra charges that will
be included in your transport charges. The only time
you will run into extra charges is if we are re-routed
by the state when ordering the oversized permits.
This will happen when there is road construction or
some other detour that will not allow your boat to
go on that particular road. When we are re-directed
it adds additional mileage to the trip you will be
charged per mile over and above the mileage quoted
in your contract for this particular haul.
For your convenience we have various boat trailers that
are sure to fit your needs. All equipment is air-ride
in order to allow a smooth ride for the over the road
transport of your boat. Our 53' low boy or belly trailer can safely support large oversized boats or
multiple boats thereby lowering your boat transport costs.
Do you want to bring your boat home to save on storage
costs at a marina or to be able to do work on your
boat at your convenience in your own yard? Our 45' hydraullic trailer can self-load and unload
power and sailboats of any size. As long as we can
get the rig in your yard you supply the blocking and/or
jack stands and the boat is where you want it to be.
We are fully insured and have never had a claim in
our 25 years in business. We carry $1,000,000.00 liability
and $500,000.00 cargo insurance. Proof of insurance
is available upon request.
When you contract us to haul a boat for you more
than likely you will be given two prices. One if we
can deliver
the boat with another boat on the same trailer
or if it can be done at the time that we have a return
load to fill in the "dead head" or empty
miles. Most of the time if you can book the job in
advance or give a good window of trucking dates we
can put the load together with either another boat
or a return load thereby lowering your trucking costs.
Once you have decided to use us as your trucking
company, you will be sent a contract which you will
need to sign and return to us with a deposit of half
of the hauling charges. This deposit will allow us
to look for another boat to be transported at the
same time as yours either as an additional boat on
the trailer or as a return load. The balance is due
by official bank check, credit card or cash.
